Moths main page

Over 300 species of moths have been officially recorded in the Doi Suthep-Pui National Park but, judging by the number I have seen on very few trips,  the actual figure must include a few more noughts. One day I am hoping to encounter Calyptra eustrigata,  the vampire moth which has adapted its fruit piercing technique to suck the blood of mammals and is found in some parts of South East Asia. Thailand also has moths which drink human tears. As far as I know none are attracted to Singha beer (I can understand that).
